My month of lipstick madness Part 4!

This is the fourth and final post on the lipstick I purchased over the last month, not to say I won't be buying any more in the future ;)

These final I ordered from the MAC website after lots of ummming and ahhhing but I am so glad I took the risk! I think I have been very lucky with Mac lipsticks by the fact I have not purchased one that I did not like, though I think this is because I do spend time researching e.g. looking at swatches and reviews online and going into Mac counters and trying them out a few times before I commit!

L to R: Girl About Town, Viva Glam Nicki, Pink Nouveau
 And the swatches:

Aren't they all just gorgeous?! Sooo pigmented! I love them already!

Girl About Town, an Amplified, is the brightest pink lipstick I have, it's amazing! I'm really tempted to wear it on tomorrow when I go out for a friends birthday, going to have build up the courage!

Viva Glam Nicki, a Satin, is just a great colour, it is obviously a great pink but it has a yellow tone to it that can give it a slightly peachy tone in certain lights, just yummy basically!

And Pink Nouveau, also a Satin, is what I would call a Barbie pink! Great for spring and summer!

These all apply beautifully, just make sure your lips are well moisturised to stop them highlighting any dryness on the lips!

Any of you lot own any of these? What are your thoughts, what looks do you use them with?!

My month of lipstick madness Part 3!

Now on to the next three lipsticks I acquired in the past month, these three are from the No7 range at Boots!
I had a £5 No7 voucher and it was on 3 for 2 as well so I couldn't really say no!

No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick
 L to R: Glace 55, Divine Pink 42, Mischief 40
As you can see the colours are just gorgeous, they all have a frosty finish to them leaning towards gold rather than silver shimmer and are all nicely pigmented. Glace, the purple one, may look a bit scary at first but is actually really wearable! I would say condition your lips before hand with a bit of vaseline (what I use anyway) because they can highlight any dryness on the lips!

I want to get some pics up of all the lipsticks I have on my lips so you can see what they look like on but I think that may be a big job so I'll do it on my next day off I think!

So anybody in the UK if you have a No7 voucher and not sure what to get with it you can pick up these for only £5 (£10 normally)!

Have anyone else tried these lipsticks, what did you think?

My month of lipstick madness Part 2!

Here are the next three lipsticks I have bought over the last month!

Here are Watch me Simmer and Naughty Saute for the Shop Mac Collection
 And the swatches
Naughty Saute is described on the MAC website as a bright pepto pink which I think is about right, some people may think this a bad thing but I beg to differ! It is a cremesheen so is nicely pigmented and really buildable, great colour for spring!
And Watch Me Simmer is just yummy haha! I thought it may be too similar to Vegas Volt but it's slightly more on the pink side which I really like! Being an Amplified it is super pigmented and really creamy! It's great!

The third lipstick I have is a Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Blossom Culture which is described as a pink but I think it has a peachy tone to it, that is what made me pick this one as my next Sheen Supreme ( I already have Gotta Dash). This is nicely moisturising on the lips and gives lovely dash of colour and shine when you don't want a full colour on the lips!

Here is a swatch so you can see what it looks like on my skin

Have any of you purchased these and what are your thoughts?

Starting my month of lipstick madness!

I bought these MAC lipsticks beginning of February so I have been able to give them a good test run, wearing them working and playing ;)

L to R: Snob, Chatterbox, Speed Dial
 And some swatches for you!

My thoughts on each one:

Snob: this is a lovely light pink with a blue/lilac undertones in a Satin finish. Pigmentation is great like most Mac Satins and very wearable, during the day with natural eyes and at night with a smoky eye!

Chatterbox: this is a really flattering warm pink in an Amplified finish which is going to be great for the spring, I wore this with a gold eyeshadow and it was a lovely combo!

Speed Dial: this is great candy pink with a nice shimmer to it in a Cremesheen finish that is really buildable on the lips, you can go from quite sheer to a good punch of colour!

The only one thing I will say with Cremesheens and Satins is that I would apply something like a vaseline and let it sink into your lips before applying because these finishes are slightly drying!
But all in all I think you can tell I love all three of these!

Until next time!

I've been naughty...

I have been soooo naughty, for 3 reasons...
1. I haven't blogged anything in a month!
2. I've spent way too much on make up!
and 3. I haven't shared any of it with you lot!

1. and 3. I feel guilty about and I apologise, but 2. though not so much haha!

Any of you that have seen any of my old posts would have seen my lipstick collection! Well after doing those I have started using lipstick a lot more and have bought 12, that's right I have bought 12 lipsticks! Nine of them are MAC (whoops!), three of which are still on their way to me so I can show you those when they arrive! The other three are Boots No 7, separate post for those I think!

Stay tuned, I will just be showing you the first three MAC I bought at the beginning of February in my next post!

My Kat Von D Palettes

For any of you that don't know who Kat Von D is she is an American tattoo artist, she has her own tv show (LA Ink) that follows her at the tattoo studio in LA and in the last 3 or 4 years she has started her own cosmetics range! My Make Up For Ever Palette

I wanted to try make up for ever cosmetics for a while, especially after spying the #92 eyeshadow on a lot of youtube videos so a couple of weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and create a three eyeshadow palette! I chose #92 purple (obviously!), #93 peach/coral and #5 mint green!

L to R: #5, #93, #92

These are all matte finishes and blend really well with other mattes and shimmery ones alike!
I LOVE the purple, it is the perfect purple... just yum!
The mint green is another colour I have been looking for, though I would like a shimmery mint green so if anyone knows of any?!
And the peachy coral is so lovely, the matte version of urban decay free love!

Do you have any MUFE eyeshadows? Or any other MUFE products that you love?
